Cal Guard facilitates Joint Incident Awareness and Assessment exercise

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Cal Guard's Army, Air and State Guard recently participated in the Joint All-Hazard Awareness and Assessment Exercise.

JAHAAX is an annual hands-on interagency training with live flights ensuring preparation for all-hazard civil support.

The exercise evaluated virtual command and control processes in support of all-hazard civil support. Exercises include demonstrations of multiple life-saving communication capabilities.

Cal Guard partnered with civil authorities to execute the annual JAHAAX and Cal Guard's first Air Operations Center exercise prior to red-flag conditions in order to be prepared to provide capabilities to civil authorities.
